NFDIN organized special program to mark "International Mother Language Day 2018" on 21 Feb 2018, Wednesday at NFDIN premises at Sanepa, Lalitpur. Ms. Hema Ale (Magar Dhut Language), Mr. Nirajan Rai (Bantawa Language), Mr. Tilak Chamling (Chamling Language) and Tejendra Tajpuriya (Tajpuriya Language) were honored with letter of appreciation and amount NRs. 30,000 each for their contribution on preserving indigenous nationalities mother language. Annually NFDIN has been providing this award to different scholars working to preserve, protect and promote mother language of different indigenous groups of people in Nepal.
